Detailed 9 Days Rwanda Safari- Gorilla Trekking
Day1: Kigali- Akagera National Park
In the morning Rwanda car rental staff member will drop the rented safari jeep either land cruiser or Toyota Rav4 depending on the reservation that you made. offer test and orientation about the car operation and if booked hotels, the receipts will also be offered to you, and after embark in your private rented jeep and transfer to Akagera National Park which is much known for the African wildlife species like lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards among others. You can spot some of the wildlife on your en-route game drive in the park driving to your lodge for lunch, after lunch evening you can a sun downer photographic game drive. Dinner and overnight at Ruzizi Tented Camp/Akagera Game Lodge/Karenga Safari Camp. Meal plan: H/B
Day2: Game Drive & Boat Ride
Early morning game drive will be rewarding you with the best experience of the true wildlife animals found in the national park, This park is well fenced and managed by African Parks and so follow the designed trails during the game drives and avoid off trucks, stay away from wild elephants, During this game drive you will spot are the African lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, water and bush buck among others. This experience will be done in the morning hours and after return to the lodge for breakfast and relax as you wait for Afternoon Boat cruise along lake Ihema. Day3: Akagera-Nyungwe Forest National Park
Have Morning breakfast and transfer to nyungwe forest national park with stop over to kigali city tour on the route heading to Chimpanzee destination in Rwanda and you will reach at the park in the evening and you can stay at either Nyungwe Forest Lodge/Nyungwe Hill Top Hotel/Gisakura Guest House. Day4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest National Park
Chimpanzee trekking is done in the morning hours and after Breakfast, you will drive for 1 hours to the park offices to be briefed about chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe forest national park in the section of Chamudongo forest which can last for 2-3 hours in the wild looking for the primates so your advised to carry enough drinking water and packed lunch,Return to the lodge for lunch, then in the evening take Nature Walk in the local communities to see the tea plantations and vegetation. Day5: Nyungwe Forest-Lake Kivu
The drive from Nyungwe to lake kivu is about 4-6 hours, so the self drive traveler is advised to have early morning breakfast and start on the drive through the naughty roads with stopover to some Genocide memorials and lunch is planned on en route reach in gisenyi in Evening hours dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel/Paradise Malahide Guest House. Day6: Lake Kivu- Volcanoes National Park
In morning go for boat cruise along the shores of the Lake visiting some of the fishing villages and local communities near the shoes of lake kivu, and after return for breakfast and later embrake into the safari jeep to drive to Volcanoes National Park lunch at Villa Gorilla and later in the evening visit the twine lakes. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/Lebambou Gorilla Lodge/Villa Gorilla Hotel/Muhabura Guest House. Meal plan: F/B
Day7: Gorilla Trekking & Iby’iwacu Cultural Village
After Early morning breakfast,take a 30 Min drive to the park headquarters for the briefing about the mountain gorillas trekking rules and regulations,drive to the start point for gorilla trekking which lasts for between 4-5 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas & the terrain of the slopes that is being hiked by the gorilla trekkers with one hour space for enjoyment with the gorillas and return to the lodge for lunch ,then in the evening visit the Iby’iwacu cultural village for Rwanda cultural performances and then to the lodge for dinner and overnight, Meal plan: F/B
Day8: Golden Monkey Trekking
As the program was the previous day, the self drive traveler will drive to the park headquarter for the briefing about golden monkey and enter into the jungle to search for these primates,this activity lasts for half day and its worthy to watch these primates Then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight, Meal plan: F/B
Day9: Transfer to Kigali & Departure
